Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro) developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences as a synthetic analogue of tuftsin — a naturally occurring tetrapeptide (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg) with immunomodulatory properties.
